Is eCamp safe?

To ensure the safety and well-being of all campers, each group attending eCamp must have a sufficient number of adult leaders to oversee and care for their youth. The Finlay Park team, including a dedicated Medical Team and 24/7 security staff, is on hand to support the camp. Additionally, all leaders, volunteers, and staff members aged 18 or over are required to undergo police vetting as part of their registration.

For added security, all camp gates are monitored 24/7, and visitors must be pre-registered to access the site. Anyone arriving or leaving during camp will need a pre-approved pass for entry or exit. Visitors will not gain entry to the camp without a leader from within the camp meeting them at security. Make sure you have the contact information for your contact person so you can make the necessary arrangements.

Finlay Park has strict policies and procedures in place to address any issues related to drugs, alcohol, or misconduct. To minimise risk and ensure safety, all camp setups, programming, and activities are thoroughly risk-assessed and comply with WorkSafe/current health and safety standards.

eCamp runs activities which carry a risk of injury if carried out without due care or in disregard of instructions. Whilst all practicable steps will be taken to ensure your safety, eCamp accepts no liability for loss, injury or damage to your property or person, whether arising through our negligence or otherwise.

Each rego form requires each person to specify their level of confidence in the water. All lake activities require lifejackets.

During the meetings things can get pretty loud (imagine 1000 people yelling for their team or belting out in worship). If your camper is susceptible to loud noises we suggest bringing ear muffs/plugs. In some parts of the meeting there may be strobe lighting. We also have an alternate quiet space set up in the dining hall where a leader can sit with campers and access the meeting via a video link.
